Superglue saves baby’s life

KANSAS CITY (Missouri) — A three-week-old baby who suffered a rare brain aneurysm was saved by using a drop of sterile superglue.

Doctors in Kansas City used glue to stem the bleed without having to cut into new born’s brain.

The baby, Ashlyn Julian, had a condition which was extremely rare, there had only been 17 reported cases of infant aneurysm.

She is expected to make a full recovery because her brain is not fully developed yet, doctors say.

Parents are relieved saying it was “like a huge weight had been lifted”. AGENCIES
